What is Movement Control JointMovement control joint strips are designed to control thermal expansion and contraction in constructed surfaces, especially for installation in ornamental and architectural hard paving. For use in stone, tile, terrazzo and virtually any other solid floor finish which requires movement control due to thermal contraction and expansion.
They serve to absorb climate-related tile and paving growth and minimise erosion and cracking to surface paving.
The movement control joint strips are manufactured specifically for use in sand cement bed underlay, where the surface flooring finish will be installed onto the wet cement bed. They can be used both internal and external applications.

Features of tile movement joints & control jointTile movement control joint profile is designed specifically for avoiding compressive strain inside floor tiles. Movement profiles are used for separating stoneware tiling (clinker slabs, ceramic tiles, natural stone slabs). The movement control joint profiles are ideal for absorbing and cushioning compressive strains because of the soft core. This purposefully avoids cracks in the stoneware tiling.

The insert rubber color can be Black, Grey, White or Beige.

How to Install Movement Control JointControl Joint Installation
1. Use a trowel to cut in the bed through to the slab to make it same width as control joint. Make sure there's no debris in it.
2. Insert the control joint in the bed to the required depth.
3. Level the floor finish and control joint to the required height. Make sure control joint is not installed above the floor finish.
4. Finish installation.
