Expanded Coil Mesh, also called coil lath, brickwork reinforcement mesh, is embedded in the normal thickness of brickwork joint; the mesh gives brickwork increased resistance to tensional stresses to reduce the detrimental effects of vibration and changes of temperature. The coil mesh is easily incorporated into mortar course, coiled for ease of handing.

2) It has no joints, welds or interweaving to fail under stress.
3) The mesh is anchored immovably so that the reinforcement cannot slip under tension.
4) This is the only type of brickwork reinforcement to give such a unique combination of all these advantages.
Installation of Expanded Coil Mesh:
Usually it is fixed into mortar between brick courses leaving 25mm clearance from face of brickwork. All joints require an overlap of at least 75mm. The mesh can be laid every third brickwork course for most reinforcement.
