Floor news                                                                                                                                              Chapter seven-some floor purchase mistakes

Are you dazzling to see so many varieties of floor to the market? Are you feeling dizziness to the unrealistic propagandas? You may lose direction in all kinds of publicities and selling points. We will provide you a few errors in order to stay away from them.

Mistake one: The thicker the better floor   From the first floor of 6 mm to 12 mm which now becoming the mainstream, this industry trend has the wrong impression to many consumers. They focus on the thickness when buying floor. They believe that thick floor with more weight be more solid and durable. Is that the fact? In fact, the surface can not be used once if milled bad whether thick or thin. So the quality of floor’s surface, to a large extent relates to the life of floor, rather than the thickness of plate. Consumers to buy floor, depends on manufacturers of timber and technology level. Experts advise, in terms of same circumstances of price, would prefer to buy 8 mm floor in good quality, but also not to buy low-quality 12 mm floor.

Mistake two: the longer and wider, the better floor   Many people like to buy big length and width floor to show style. Expert analysis too long and too broad wooden floor may be looked very magnificent. However, because the wood is of the opposite sex, with the ambient temperature and humidity changes, it will appear in expansion or contraction. The longer and wider the wooden floor, both the inside and outside tension worse. Shortly after the use of the floor, there is likely to have cracks, warping and other deformation phenomenon. At present, 8 mm thickness of the wood floor is usually the size of 1210 mm × 193mm, 12mm thickness of the size of the wooden floor should be less than 900 mm × 150mm.Mistake three: Excessive pursuit of the same texture   Natural wood due to the cultivation of different locations, different sunlight, different temperature and humidity, the color of the wood will not be the same. In addition, the same post-wood sawing down the plate because of the different positions under the saws would lead to different color depth and different wood texture. Center wood’s color may darker than the edge of the wood. Therefore, it is a nature phenomenon that wood floor shows uneven pattern and color. The consumers are nit too picky.

Mistake four: “relief" floor is more wear-resistant   At present, most floor brands have launched a convex texture of the "relief" floors to pursue a more primitive and simple effect, favored by many consumers. According to manufacturers, "relief" floor is done by special treatment, more wear-resistant than the general floor. About the market's hot-selling "big relief," "small relief" and "relief experts" floor, the experts point out that this is looking but useless. The wearing strength is the most important indicator. Caved on its surface, it is bond to reduce the abrasion resistance and processing accuracy. That floor will be so difficult to clean, greatly reducing the quality of its usability. Consumers should not simply pursue surface effect, ignore the useful time and maintenance of trouble.

Mistake five: install the floor by yourself   Some consumers believe that their carpenter has superior skills of carpentry. So they would rather install the floor by themselves than choose the installation services from their manufactures. Expert analysis: the floor is semi-finished product, must be installed before use. The laying of technology directly relates to the later use. The quality problems in using process are caused by improper installation. When the quality problems were found, the two sides will be of mutual buck-passing to avoid responsibility. And informal floor enterprise will train their workers. This will reduce the possibility of a problem.

Mistake six: Only hardwood floor of environmental protection   Although the formaldehyde release of hardwood floor is almost zero, but because of hardwood floor’s species and high prices, most consumers can not afford. So the engineered floor is popular in these years, but People are worried that formaldehyde will do harm to our bodies. Formaldehyde plays the role of viscosity in the production of engineered floors. As long as formaldehyde emissions in line with national standards, consumers can be assured use. Moreover, some enterprises invent a "moisture-proof plastic-free" technology to give a double insurance for engineered floor.

Mistake seven: Excessive pursuit of valuable timber species   The floor is not more expensive, the better. Consumers should be in accordance with their own home environment, decorative style, personal preferences and economic strength. Do not excessively pursue valuable timber.

Also, such as only attach importance to purchase, or laminate floor is not as well as hardwood floor, consumers should clearly recognize.
